For the final project of junior year, students were tasked with creatively planning an original design for a possible boating house facility. The project occupied a lot located on Spofford Lake in New Hampshire, and was designed to accommodate an entrance, a bathroom/changing area for men and women, a conference center, and a classroom/boathouse. The goal was to test a student’s ability to design on a large scale, while giving them flexibility in layout and formulation of space. The project was also a great example of the evolution of design.
